Waiora began as a challenge for self.... to start and finish the day with an hour of Toi - creativity, art and expression. This grew into a new way of being and growing my own potential as a creative who has a love of experimenting with mediums and pushing creative ideas to see where they will end up.

Our whanau were decolonising, home schooling and re-developing our mahi, adding new learning into our kete of knowledge. The joy of our collective and individual learning over that special time in our lives, is poured into Waiora.

It can be likened to surfacing after a dive into deep water and opening your eyes for the first time.

Life is living the journey and not just a destination.
