Huia is an extinct New Zealand bird from the Wattlebird family. There are no known images of Huia in Flight and no sound recordings of the Huia call. However there is a lovely imitation of the manu call. Most of the drawings or paintings are of the Huia perched on a branch - or preserved in a museum exhibit.

The Huia tail feathers and introduced species led to the extinction of Huia with some of the last sightings in 1907 & 1924.
