KOHA- Envelopes
Traditionally KOHA could be in the form of food which was delivered directly to the kāuta (cooking shed) or in valued natural resources such as pounamu.
In the modern-day context this tradition has evolved to a KOHA being laid down on the marae in the form of money collected into an envelope prior to going onto the marae to acknowledge the haukāika.
